Introduction
             Cyproheptadine hydrochloride, also known as diphenylcycloheptidine, mitonidine, ethyl phencyclidine, and antigen, is a hexahydropyridine antihistamine that can compete with histamine released from tissues for effector cells This product has a strong H1 receptor antagonistic effect, and its antihistamine effect is stronger than that of chlorpheniramine and promethazine. It has mild and moderate anti-serotonin and anti-cholinergic effects. In addition, it has the effect of stimulating appetite, and weight gain can be seen after taking it for a certain period of time.

Nature
              Cyproheptadine hydrochloride is a white or slightly yellow crystalline powder, almost odorless and slightly bitter in taste. Easily soluble in methanol, Chemicalbook is soluble in chloroform, slightly soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in water, and almost insoluble in ether.

Clinical application
             Clinically, cyproheptadine hydrochloride is mainly used for acute and chronic urticaria (especially cold urticaria), papular urticaria, angioedema, allergic eczema, contact dermatitis, food allergy, drug allergy, Allergic rhinitis, hay fever, allergic conjunctivitis, insect sting allergy and migraine, etc. It has a certain therapeutic effect on bronchial asthma. It can still be used for the adjuvant treatment of Cushing's syndrome and acromegaly. It can also be used as an appetite enhancer for neurotic phobias.
