                  Sulfamethoxazole, chemical name is 4-amino-N-(5-methyl-3-isoxazolyl)benzenesulfonamide, is an organic compound, chemical formula is C10H11N3O3S, white crystalline powder, odorless, Slightly bitter in taste, almost insoluble in water, soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide test solution or ammonia test solution. Clinically, it is mainly used for urinary tract infection, respiratory system infection, intestinal infection, biliary tract infection and local soft tissue or wound infection caused by sensitive bacteria.

Use
As an antibacterial agent, it has a wide antibacterial spectrum and strong antibacterial effect, especially effective against Staphylococcus and Escherichia coli. Mainly used for the treatment of fowl cholera anti-infective drugs, for urinary tract infection, respiratory tract infection, intestinal infection, Salmonella infection, acute otitis media in children, prevention of meningitis, etc.
