Sulbactam is an irreversible competitive β-lactamase inhibitor, which has inhibitory effect on β-lactamase produced by Gram-positive and negative bacteria (except Pseudomonas aeruginosa). It is effective for peripheral infections caused by gonococcus and meningococcus alone; sulbactam is combined with ampicillin, cefoperazone, piperacillin, mezlocillin, etc. to treat respiratory tract, urinary tract, obstetrics and gynecology, abdominal cavity caused by sensitive bacteria Internal, skin and soft tissue, eye, ENT, and bone and joint infections, as well as sepsis, meningitis, etc. At present, the sulbactam products produced in China are mainly ampicillin/sulbactam sodium combination preparations for intravenous or intramuscular injection.
