Nizoxanide is a derivative of nitrothiasalazide amide. Although its actual mechanism of action has not been clarified, it is considered to be related to the inhibition of pyruvate, iron redox protein oxidoreductase enzyme dependent electron transfer reaction, which is important for anaerobic energy metabolism. In addition to Cryptosporidium and Giardia intestinalis, this product is also active against many intestinal parasites, such as Bacillus, amoeba, ascaris lumbricoides, hookworm, trichoptera, beef tapeworm, Hymenolepis nana and Fasciola hepatica.

Erectile dysfunction and pulmonary hypertension.
Dosage
