               Fosfomycin, whose chemical name is (1R,2S)-1,2-epoxycis propylene phosphate, and whose molecular formula is C3H7O4P, is an antibiotic. Originally isolated from Streptomyces fradicle, it is effective against Gram-positive and negative bacteria. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It can be combined with a bacterial cell wall synthase to hinder the first reaction of bacteria to use related substances to synthesize cell wall, thereby playing a bactericidal effect. Mainly used for urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, intestinal infections caused by sensitive Gram-negative bacteria

pharmacological action
This product has a wide antibacterial spectrum, and has high antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Serratia and Shigella, etc., against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus, Aerogenes, Pneumococcus, Streptococcus and some Anaerobic bacteria also have a certain antibacterial effect, but they are worse than penicillins and cephalosporins. Bacteria have no cross-resistance between this product and other antibiotics.
