Superiority

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is an important inorganic chemical product, which has important applications in coatings, inks, paper, plastics, chemicals, ceramics and other industries. Titanium dioxide (English name: titanium dioxide), the main component is white pigment of titanium dioxide (TiO2). The scientific name is titanium dioxide, and the molecular formula is TiO2, which is a polycrystalline compound with regular particles arranged in a lattice structure. Titanium dioxide has the lowest relative density. The production process of titanium dioxide has two routes of sulfuric acid method and chlorination method.

Details

use
Titanium dioxide is considered to be the best white pigment in the world, and is widely used in coatings, plastics, paper, printing inks, chemical fiber, rubber, cosmetics and other industries.
Titanium dioxide (titanium dioxide) is chemically stable and generally does not react with most substances. There are three crystals of titanium dioxide in nature: titanium plate, anatase and rutile. The plate-titanium type is an unstable crystal form, and has no industrial use value. Anatase is abbreviated as A type, and rutile type (Rutile) is called R type. Both have stable crystal lattice and are important white pigments and porcelain glazes. It has superior whiteness, tinting strength, hiding power, weather resistance, heat resistance, and chemical stability compared with other white pigments, especially no toxicity.
Titanium dioxide is widely used in coatings, plastics, rubber, ink, paper, chemical fiber, ceramics, daily chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and other industries.
The coatings industry is the largest user of titanium dioxide, especially rutile titanium dioxide, which is mostly consumed by the coatings industry. The coating made of titanium dioxide has bright color, high hiding power, strong coloring power, low dosage and variety, can protect the stability of the medium, and can enhance the mechanical strength and adhesion of the paint film to prevent cracks. Prevents the passage of UV rays and moisture and prolongs the life of the film.
The plastics industry is the second largest user. Adding titanium dioxide to plastics can improve the heat resistance, light resistance and weather resistance of plastic products, improve the physical and chemical properties of plastic products, enhance the mechanical strength of products and prolong the service life.
The paper industry is the third largest user of titanium dioxide, as a paper filler, mainly used in high-grade paper and thin paper. Adding titanium dioxide to the paper can make the paper have better whiteness, good gloss, high strength, thin and smooth, no penetration during printing, and light weight. Titanium dioxide for papermaking generally uses an anatase-type titanium dioxide which has not been surface-treated, and can function as a fluorescent whitening agent to increase the whiteness of the paper. However, laminated paper requires the use of surface treated rutile titanium dioxide to meet the requirements of light and heat resistance.
Titanium dioxide is also an indispensable white pigment in advanced inks. The ink containing titanium dioxide is durable, does not change color, has good surface wettability, and is easy to disperse. The titanium dioxide used in the ink industry has a rutile type and an anatase type.
The textile and chemical fiber industries are another important application area for titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxide for chemical fiber is mainly used as a matting agent. Since the anatase type is softer than the gold-red type, an anatase type is generally used. Titanium dioxide for chemical fiber generally does not require surface treatment, but some special varieties need to be surface treated in order to reduce the photochemical action of titanium dioxide and avoid degradation of the fiber under the action of titanium dioxide photocatalysis.
The enamel industry is an important application field of titanium dioxide. The enamel grade titanium dioxide has high purity, good whiteness, fresh color, uniform particle size, strong refractive index and high achromatic power, and has strong opacity and The opacity makes the coating after coating thin, smooth and acid resistant, and can be mixed with other materials evenly in the enamel manufacturing process, without agglomeration and easy to be melted.
The ceramic industry is also an important application field of titanium dioxide. The ceramic grade titanium dioxide has the characteristics of high purity, uniform particle size, high refractive index, excellent high temperature resistance, and ash retention at 1200 °C for 1 hour. High opacity, thin coating and light weight, widely used in ceramics, construction, decoration and other materials.
