               4-Benzyloxyphenol, also known as monobenzone and hydroquinone monobenzyl ether (MBEH), is an organic compound with the phenol chemical formula C6H5CH2OC6H4OH. Used as a topical drug for drug-induced depigmentation.

Application
4-Benzyloxyphenol is a topical depigmenting agent that decomposes melanin in the skin, prevents the production of melanin in the skin, and restores the skin to a healthy color without destroying melanocytes, thereby depigmenting effect. Clinically, it is mainly used to treat hyperpigmentation, such as various pigmentation spots, age spots, vitiligo, melanoma, etc.
