Function and use
Dopamine is the precursor of norepinephrine biosynthesis. It is one of the central transmitters. It has the effect of exciting β-receptors, α-receptors and dopamine receptors. Exciting cardiac β-receptors can increase myocardial contractility. Increase cardiac output. Exciting dopamine receptors and α-receptors causes renal, mesenteric, coronary and cerebral blood vessels to dilate and increase blood flow. It has a mild constriction effect on peripheral blood vessels and increases arterial blood pressure. The prominent effect of this drug is to increase renal blood flow and glomerular filtration rate, thereby increasing urine output and urinary sodium excretion. Dosage
