                    Penicillin G potassium is the potassium salt of penicillin G (obtained from Penicillium culture). Penicillin G is an organic acid that can combine with metal ions or organic bases to form salts. The common ones are sodium salt, potassium salt, procaine salt and benzathine salt. Acid-intolerant, penicillinase-intolerant, cannot be taken orally, and has a narrow antibacterial spectrum. Can cause allergic reactions, severe cases can cause anaphylactic shock. Clinically, it is mainly used for acute infection caused by sensitive bacteria.
